Sacramento Flight Information Alert

A pitfall in travel to Sacramento has been discovered. Those of you flying to Sacramento - especially from overseas - make sure your destination is Sacramento International Airport (SMF). Do not purchase a ticket to San Francisco and then another from San Francisco to Sacramento.

Sacramento is 75 miles from San Francisco - a 20 minute flight. But the cost of a roundtrip flight between the two cities is $428(USD)!!  On the other hand, the cost of a ticket from your city of origin to Sacramento is only a few dollars more than a flight to San Francisco. The same flight between the two cities used as a connection costs nearly nothing.
